The Club offers a summer family recreation pool as well as a heated, year-round eight lane 25-meter lap pool. We have been a staple in the Triangle sports community for almost five years, and promote a friendly, welcoming and fun environment for all of our members and guests. We are looking for an Aquatics Director who will design, plan and implement programs and processes that attract new members, retain existing members, and generate increased member participation and satisfaction. The Aquatics Director is responsible for the proper management of all aquatics operations and ensures safety and protection of all the Club’s assets and facilities. The responsibilities and duties will include: OVERALL FACILITY MANAGEMENT Ensure that all appropriate water, environmental, health and safety standards are maintained; ensure pools are compliant with all local, state and national requirements and current on all necessary certifications required for operation. Maintain the highest standards in water quality and facility cleanliness. Develop and oversee entire lifeguard functions at the club. Maintain records of facility usage, pool logs, pool updates and incident reports. Assist in helping members, ensuring accurate billing, and answering questions related to the facilities and programs. Monitor and maintain inventories of pool equipment and supplies. Assist the General Manager with the development of the annual operating budget for the aquatic center. STAFF SUPERVISION & TRAINING Recruit, hire, train and monitor the performance of all lifeguards, swim school and lesson staff. Lead water safety, first aid, and CPR certification training sessions for staff and ensure that all certifications are maintained by providing regular in-service training. Ensure that staff have met all requirements for employment including any certifications and/or paperwork required prior to first day of employment. Manage aquatics staff time sheets and payroll on our online payroll software program. AQUATIC PROGRAM MANAGEMENT Develop and schedule aquatic programming for the facility to include swim lessons, lap swim, youth swim team practices and meets, aqua-fitness classes and other aquatic programs. Coordinate and coach the youth swim team program. Communicate aquatics schedule and program information to staff and membership in a timely and effective manner. Develop social programming for the memberships centered around pool activities. Complete other related duties as assigned by the General Manager
