This is an ideal job for a certified lifeguard high school student looking for a part-time job that has a positive impact on the community. In water coaches would be required to be in the pool with our lesson swimmers, keeping them safe, while building their swimming skills and confidence in the water, with the end goal of having the lesson swimmers transition to our club team. This is a part-time position that would require approximately 3 hours of work a week over the course of multiple days. This individual should be a high energy, positive person, displaying good communication skills, working well with swimmers, parents and other coaching staff. The Rams Swim Club is a successful year-round program. The club is divided into five swim groups based on ability and age, with children ages 6-18. This coaching position will have the opportunity to coach multiple levels of training groups (beginner group through advanced group) at separate practice times. Generally, practice times during summer are offered in the mornings for the advanced group, in the evenings and on Saturdays for all groups. This individual should be positive, energetic, likes to work with kids, organized, hardworking, and a strong communicator. The Rams Swim Club Lessons Program is a successful year-round program that helps to give kids ages 4-8 the confidence and in water skills to prepare them to transition to the entry level of swim team. This is a part-time position that would require about 3-4 hours of on-deck work a week, and 1-2 hours of administration work done remotely.
