Since 1964, Scottsdale Aquatic Club has been providing a quality competitive swimming experience in Scottsdale, AZ. Currently the club has over 450 swimmers varying in ability from novice, beginning level swimmers through Olympic medal winners. We believe in developing great athletes and great people. Having swimmers with high character is important to us. 

We are Scottsdale Aquatic Club. As a TEAM, we develop champions in the pool and in life by creating a positive environment that inspires the dreams of swimmers at all competitive levels.

SCOTTSDALE AQUATIC CLUB is seeking a highly motivated and energetic coach to fill the role of Head Age Group Coach/11-12 Director. The ideal candidate will have high energy and passion for swimming, be charismatic and personable, be knowledgeable about technique and stroke mechanics of the sport and be willing to help drive club growth. This coach will support and carry out the mission of Scottsdale Aquatic Club and the philosophy of the Head Coach. Experience Expectations:       --Up to date USA Swimming credentials       --5-7 years coaching experience (at least 3 years leading a top 11-12 age group)       --Strong communication skills with swimmers, parents and coworkers       --Ability to manage assistant coaches       --Knowledge and ability to teach technique and stroke mechanics       --Knowledge and to set up a training plan       --Ability to create strong connections with swimmers and parents       --Seek knowledge and experience to grow as a coach       --Ability to work with different ages and ability levels       --Experience/knowledge of technology (video, social media, etc) Job Expectations:       --Work with the Head Coach to design and plan training       --Lead age group program in pursuit of State Championships       --Attend weekly staff meetings       --Lead coach committees to help club growth and development       --Maintain positive and encouraging environment for the age group program       --Develop comprehensive dryland and pool training for 11-12 division       --Manage 11-12 Division assistant coaches (3-4 coaches)       --Manage 125-150 swimmers in the 11-12 Division Job Requirements:       --USA Swimming registered coach       --Lifeguard certified (preferably Starguard)       --CPR/First Aid certified       --Coaches Safety for Swim Coaches       --USA Swimming background check completed and passed       --USA Swimming Athlete Protection training       --Knowledge of TeamUnify online team management program       --Travel to out of town meets as necessary       --Understand that this position will require working evenings and weekends This is a great opportunity to work with a USA Swimming Gold Medal Team.
