Job Description

Medfield Parks and Recreation is looking for qualified candidates to lead its summer swim team, the Medfield Marlins, which swim out of the Hinkley Swim Pond. The coach, with assistance from assistant coaches, would be responsible for running practices Monday-Thursday, two meets per week (both at Hinkley and on the road) and end-of-the-season regionals in August. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, constructing the roster from the registered swimmers, putting together meet lineups, organizing swim practices to benefit the swimmers and see improvement from the start to the end of the season, attend league meetings, and other duties as assigned pertaining to the team. The coach will also be responsible for the Medfield Minnows, our feeder team to the Marlin, which practices twice per week in the evenings at Hinkley Pond. Pay will be consummate with experience. Ideally looking for someone who has coached a swim team before. Candidate should be lifeguard and WSI certified, or have the ability to obtain certifications after hired. Candidate would also have the opportunity to work additional hours as a lifeguard at Hinkley Pond if desired (but not required), Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and resume to Kevin Ryder, Director of Medfield Parks and Recreation, at kryder@medfield.net
