Job Description

 PRO Swimming is looking for an experienced and accomplished career coach to be a Lead Pre-Senior coach, and develop our oldest and most competitive Age Group Swimmers. 

 As the Lead Pre-Senior coach, you will work hand-in-hand with the Head Coach to turn highly successful age group swimmers into Senior-level athletes. The successful candidate must be passionate about the sport of swimming, be innovative, and have a clear understanding of what makes Senior-level swimmers successful. He/she must be a team player; possess a high degree of emotional maturity; have the ability to teach and motivate young people; and foster strong communication with parents and PRO Club leadership.

 PRO Swimming has approximately 280 swimmers that range vastly in their swimming goals from recreational swimmers to National Qualifiers and National Top-10 Age Groupers.  We are located at the PRO Club/Medical main branch in Bellevue.

 The position is flexible beyond running the Pre- Senior group including coaching additional groups on our Team.  PRO Club Aquatics Department offers many programs, including a lesson program that supports approximately 1,850 children per session learning to swim from Baby Aquatics through Pre-Comp group lessons.  Ability to be full time possible.  Additional income opportunities are also available in a wide variety of other administrational departments in our club that boasts over 1000 employees. 

 Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

    Must be a registered USA Swimming coach in good standing

    Collegiate swimming experience preferred

    3 or more years of coaching

    Proficient in: Team Unify, Meet Manager, MS Office (including Excel, Outlook, etc.)

    Good planning and organizational skills

    Confident, energetic and motivational leader with bias for action

    Attend all scheduled meets (approximately 48 hours per month)

    Skilled in training/coaching swimmers of all ability levels

    Positive and effective communicator

    Ability to successfully cooperate with swimmers, parents, and colleagues

    Ability to work independently in collaboration with a Head Coach

    Ability and desire to work with parents as a part of swimmer development

    Good working knowledge of physiology

    Experience teaching great technique, open-minded to learn new innovations

    Knowledge of age group dryland principles

    Experience developing & maintaining a team’s social media presence
