Job Description

Las Vegas Swim Club (LVSC) is a year round club swim team located in Summerlin. We are looking for a part time Coach to run our "dryland" program. “Dryland” is the on land part of our training meant to compliment in-water training. Aspects of the dryland program include (not limited to):

• Conditioning Work – strength, endurance, and power

• Injury prevention

• Core strengthening/endurance

• Movement Patterns

Training is done with body weight and portable equipment (i.e. stretch cords, kettlebells, slam balls, etc).

Experience

We are seeking a fitness professional with experience in Personal Training (NASM, ACE, ACSM, or ISSA certification preferred), Physical Therapy and/or Physical Education. Previous coaching or teaching experience in a group environment is highly preferred. Experience with swimming and/or working with swimmers is also preferred, but not required. Training on specifics of working with swimmers will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

LVSC Dryland can be broken into 3 categories, new coach may work with some or all depending on experience and availability:

• Young Development: Generally ages 8-11 – Green and Silver Groups

• Age Group: Generally ages 11-15 – Bronze, Gold1, Gold2, Jr National Groups

• Senior: Generally ages 14-18 – Platinum and National Groups

Responsibilities include (not limited to):

• Design and implementation of dryland program

• Writing and running group workouts for above age groups

• Working with swim coaches to coordinate dryland training with in water training

• Seeking new and creative ways to create better swimmers and athletes

Hours/Pay

This position is part-time. Dryland coach will work 2-3 days per week for 1.5-3 hours per session. Schedule varies slightly over the year (we have 3 “seasons”), but hours will typically range between 4- 8PM. Compensation is based upon experience.
