An opportunity that doesn’t come often – Junior Group Coach, Pine Richland Aquatics
Pine Richland Aquatics Inc., located at Gibsonia, PA., seeks a part-time coach to train and educate our 11 – 13 year old Junior Group as the primary group with possible other opportunities as well. .
Candidates should have a minimum 5 years of experience in coaching. The right candidate will have all USA Swimming requirements for certification. Ability to effectively communicate and lead athletes as well as parents is a plus. Hy-tek, MS office, and public relations experience is preferred along with ASCA level 2, but not required.
This part-time position runs September through July. Work hours vary, primarily 6:15pm - 8:30pm Monday through Friday, Saturdays 10:15am – 12:30pm. A member of the Allegheny Mountain Swimming LSC, we host 2-3 short course meets a year as well as send kids to local, regional and eastern zone meets frequently, so attendance at meets is required and is a shared responsibility between the coaching staff. Compensation for this position is based on experience. Additional hours and other opportunities may be available as well depending on availability.
Founded in 1994, Pine Richland Aquatics, Inc. is a nonprofit swim team separate and distinct from the Pine Richland School District. PRA is organized as a coach-directed and parent-supported aquatics program. Its head coach, Pete Barry, is the direct supervisor of the coaching staff. We have services that include swim school, pre-team, competitive team, and Red Cross certification programs. PRA is a team looking to make our presence felt, once again, at the national level. We have 200 athletes and are looking to return to the top 300 teams in the country. We have had swimmers reach the Senior National level. Are you the piece that can help us achieve our goal?
