Asst Coach Needed for upcoming season.

AQSA was named #58 ASCA teams in the U.S. for 12 & under program. We have approx. 100-125 swimmers in the Hill Country of San Antonio, Texas.

Looking for that coach to compliment our program and bring leadership qualities to the team.

 

 

GENERAL SUMMARY
Coaches individuals and groups regarding competitive swimming activities; explains and demonstrates proper use of equipment; instructs athletes in proper competitive swimming techniques; observes athletes to detect and correct mistakes; organizes, attends, documents and conducts competitive events.

SUPERVISION
General supervision is provided by the Head Coach.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    All behaviors comply with USA swimming Safe Sport.

2.    Coaches athletes in swimming activities; instructs athletes on proper swimming form and techniques; observes athletes to detect and correct mistakes; provides feedback on performance.

3.    Coordinates swimming competitive events; organizes swimmers and ensures attendance at events; and assists with facilitating swimmers entry and participation in events.

4.    Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive member inquiries and complaints.

5.    Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

1.    Education – High school diploma or GED

2.    Experience – One year's experience teaching or coaching swimming

3.    Licenses and Certifications - Possession of a valid Class C Texas driver's license

4.    Licensed Lifeguard certification

2.    Performing swimming strokes

1.    Provide effective instruction regarding swim form, technique and competition.

2.    Work varied hours and days

3.    Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

4.    Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work

 

Benefits/Salary

1.     $22-30/HR Dependent on experience.

2.     Bonus at the conclusion of each season (short course/long course)

3.     Some Holiday pay

4.     All certifications for coaching paid for.
