Assistant Swim Coach (Age Group)

The Rams Swim Club, located in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, is searching for a qualified assistant coach to add to our team. This individual should be a high energy, positive person, displaying good communication skills, working well with swimmers, parents and other coaching staff. The Rams Swim Club is a successful year-round program. The club is divided into five swim groups based on ability and age, with children ages 6-18. This coaching position will have the opportunity to coach multiple levels of training groups (beginner group through advanced group) at separate practice times. Generally, practice times during summer are offered in the mornings for the advanced group, in the evenings and on Saturdays for all groups. This is a part time position and will be paid an hourly wage. Prior swim coaching or swim team experience preferred.   

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Completion of USA Swimming coaching certifications and trainings upon hire 
• Oversees daily workout   
• Facilitate individual goal setting process with swimmers   
• Complete attendance using team app  
• Establish an environment that fosters positive team attitudes, encourages self-discipline, sportsmanship, responsibility, and respect   
• Challenge and encourage swimmers mentally and physically   
• Assist in supervision of meet warmups to prepare swimmers
