In-Water Swim Lesson Instructor/Coach/Junior Coach

The Rams Swim Club, located in Pleasant Hill, Iowa, is searching for qualified coaches to be in the water with our lesson swimmers this upcoming spring/summer. This is an ideal job for a certified lifeguard high school student looking for a part-time job that has a positive impact on the community. In water coaches would be required to be in the pool with our lesson swimmers, keeping them safe, while building their swimming skills and confidence in the water, with the end goal of having the lesson swimmers transition to our club team. This is a part-time position that would require approximately 3 hours of work a week over the course of multiple days. Lessons are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 6:15-7:15pm starting April 10th and continuing through the summer. 

Role and Responsibilities 

• Completion of USA Swimming coaching certifications and trainings upon hire  
• Be able to swim 300 yards of freestyle continuously 
• Enjoys working with kids  
• Attendance above 90% for the season  
• Be able to communicate swimmer progress to swim lessons manager  
• Be able to work with swim lessons manager to create a day-to-day lesson plans 
• Be a strong and positive mentor to the future swimmers of Rams Swim Club
