An Assistant Head Coach at the YMCA of the Fox Cities is responsible for helping the Head Coach with all aspects of team leadership and needs. As a full-time assistant head coach, you’ll work with swimmers of all ages and abilities, sharing your experience & skills as a competitive swimmer & athlete. Coaches for our swim team need to be able to lead practices from both the water & from the dry deck and attend all swim meets, including being able to help host events. Coaches within the Y need to be excellent communicators, being able to work with & share athletic information with parents about team activities, practices and events, along with helping to manage team staff. Swim coaches at the Y get to share their passion for the sport with the next generation of swimmers.

The Fox Cities YMCA Swim Team (FCYST) is a club swim team that is both YMCA and USA Swimming sponsored. We hold athletes & coaching staff to a high standard by enforcing the core values of the Y.  At the Y, we foster an environment that promotes creativity, joy, passion, excitement and friendships. 

Requirements:

• Experience as a competitive swim coach
• Ability to work nights & weekends
• Be in good standing with USA Swimming
• Current Lifeguard, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications
• Working knowledge of Team Unify/Sports Engine and HyTek/Superior Swim Timing software
