Job Description
Starfish Aquatic Club is searching for QUALITY instructors for Summer for the following locations in Northern NJ:
- Verona, NJ – Community Pool (9-12pm Tuesday-Thursday; 8-9pm Tuesday/Thursday) – higher pay for this location (up to 23.00 an hour) *starts first week in July
- Millburn, NJ – Community Pool (morning group lessons) *starts last week in June
- Cedar Grove, NJ – Community Pool (morning group lessons) *starts last week in June
- Avenel, NJ – LA Fitness – Sundays (mornings) through Thursdays open (weekday afternoons)
- Clark, NJ – LA Fitness – Sundays (mornings) through Fridays open (weekday afternoons)
- Parsippany, NJ – Esporta Fitness – Sundays (mornings) through Thursdays open (weekday afternoons)
- Piscataway, NJ – Esporta Fitness – WEEKENDS (mornings) and some weekday afternoons
- South Plainfield, NJ – LA Fitness – WEEKEND (mornings) through Thursdays open (weekday afternoons)
- Union, NJ – LA Fitness – WEEKEND (mornings) through Thursdays open (weekday afternoons)
- Wayne, NJ – LA Fitness – Saturday (mornings) and weekday afternoons
- West Orange, NJ – LA Fitness – Sundays (mornings) through Thursdays open (weekday afternoons)
New and inexperienced instructors can be trained, but must be comfortable with children, adults, have SWIMMING EXPERIENCE and eager to learn.
Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid and WSI certified individuals a plus! We will train the right individual.
The right instructor candidate SHOULD:
– be lifeguard certified and/or WSI certified or similar instructor certification
– open and energetic personality
– able to work as a team
– able to communicate effectively with parents/students
– good communication skills, punctual, and knowledgeable about swimming progression
– strong computer skills
– strong customer service skills
– fast learner
– long term goals of at least 1 year working with the company.
