Swim Academy Coordinator

Job Summary

The swim academy coordinator  is accountable for directing/managing the overall daily operations of our learn to swim program.  They are also responsible for seeking out, generating, and securing  opportunities for program growth.

• Lifeguard Instructor Certification (able to get within 3 months of hire)

6 Month Objective

• Organize, plan, & market academy to have 500 participants by end of 2023

• Evaluate, Critique, & Implement daily operations for multi-site organization

• Direct Oversight over daily staff schedule, ensure all sites and operations are efficiently staffed

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that staff & programs prepare athletes for success. Ensure that program delivery results in desired outcomes.

• Develop and implement strategies to increase membership in order to reach maximum capacity while still delivering effective programming.

• Provide professional development opportunities for instructors & lifeguards. 

• Plan, organize, & Implement Social media marketing campaign for swim academy

• 20-hr week hybrid position.  50% remote / 50% on deck 

Knowledge/Skills 

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)

• Minimum of two years' experience in managing and/or supervising staff (sports/edu setting preferred)

• Requires strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments from different sources while meeting deadlines.

• Must demonstrate a positive attitude & initiative

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.

• Mandatory CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications.
