Head Age Group Coach

Alto Swim Club is seeking a Head Age Group Coach for our Greene Pool facility. This is a full-time position. This position will oversee development for all groups training at the Greene Pool in Palo Alto, CA. 

Alto Swim Club is the premier USA swimming team in the Palo Alto and Stanford area; our mission is to be the best developmental and high performance swim team in the United States. We offer a comprehensive swim program for all athletes, from the beginner swimmer to the Olympian.

We are looking for a Head Age Group Coach to join our close-knit coaching family and community. The Head Age Group Coach will lead practices for multiple 12 & Under groups, as well as the Senior Prep Group. They will be involved in all aspects of team development and management.

Practices are generally from 3 - 8pm and on Saturday mornings — exact hours will depend on our pool schedule throughout the year. The position entails approximately 25 hours of on-deck coaching and 15 hours of administrative work each week. 

Qualifications: 

• Loves coaching. Passion for developing swimmers of all ages. 

• Proven coaching success working at the club or collegiate level

• Excellent leadership and organizational / administrative skills

• Outstanding ability to communicate in person, in writing and over the phone

• Current USA Swimming coach certifications

• Expertise in current technique development and training knowledge

• Enthusiastic, hard working, and highly motivated team player
