Director of Aquatics

The Fox West YMCA is hiring a full-time Aquatics Director to successfully manage all things related to our expanding aquatics program in Greenville, Wisconsin. As an aquatics supervisor, you’ll be responsible and supervise indoor pool & swim programs, lifeguards, Safety Around Water and other aquatics-based services offered by the Y. Directors/managers tap into their background of sports & recreation to also oversee an annual budget, train & retain staff as well as maintain positive relationships with Y members & guests. Being an Aquatics Director at the Y is a forward-moving career step, working with supportive leadership and members in a positive environment.

This is a full-time opportunity within one of Wisconsin’s largest YMCA associations, as well as the one of the leading nonprofits in the Fox Cities area.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching all ages and levels of aquatic programs.
• Certification in Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid and AED or be willing to obtain through the YMCA once hired.
• Ability to hire, train, manage and coach Aquatics staff. 
• Previous swim, pool and/or aquatics programming experience is required.
• Background in Sports & Recreation is preferred but not required.
