Job Description
LYONS Aquatics is seeking a Part-Time Director for our ever growing Competitive Learn-to-Swim Program. The Swim Lesson Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day functions of our Learn-to-Swim program. These responsibilities include:
- Communicating with Parents
- Introducing new sessions
- Providing feedback after each session
- Coordinating & Educating Instructors
- Working with Club Admin Staff on:
- Updating Sessions
- Providing Refunds
- Assisting with Level Moves
A successful candidate is a self-starter with experience working with children in an aquatic environment, managing a small staff, and strong communication skills.
A background check and SafeSport training are required, and USA Swimming Coaching Certifications are desired.
This is a Part-Time, Hourly position with a starting rate of $26.00 per hour.

LYONS Aquatics Club is a year-round competitive aquatics program offering high quality professional coaching and technical instruction for all ages and abilities. Our goal is to provide every member the opportunity to develop their aquatic skills and succeed at every level, from the novice to the elite. We pride ourselves in having a high-caliber group of coaches, dedicated to producing great athletes AND inspiring the next generation of community-minded leaders. We are a non-profit Club run by an elected Board of Directors.
Lyons Aquatics offers a competitive swim team, masters swim team, swim lessons, water polo, and dive programs to the members of our community. We utilize two pools at the local community high school, Lyons Township, which features a 6 lane 50-meter pool at Lyons Township High School (South Campus) and a 6 lane 25 yard facility at Lyons Township High School (North Campus).
Our mission is to develop the abilities of community members in all aspects of aquatic sports by providing quality instruction, opportunities for competition, an atmosphere that fosters respect for oneself and others, good sportsmanship, and personal excellence.
