The Stingray Swim Team is seeking a Head Age Group Coach to work primarily with athletes ages 9-13 daily. The Head Age Group Coach will work closely with our Head Coach to promote technique, goal setting, teamwork, and enjoyment. The Head Age Group Coach will receive ongoing training, be afforded one continuing education conference/clinic per year at minimum, and be highly supported by the Head Coach and Board of Directors. Stingray Swim Team prides itself as being a desirable employer with an excellent track record of successful coaches.
Beyond USA Swimming required certifications, successful candidates will be exceptional youth teachers, work well with the coaching staff and Board of Directors, demonstrate time management skills, and model behavior consistent with our mission. The Head Age Group Coach will write and run workouts for their core swim groups, attend swim meets, and travel to championship meets. Time commitment is generally 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend swim meets. Compensation is based on experience starting at $20 per hour.
