Jewish Community Center Sailfish Swim Team – Pittsburgh, PA

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Age Group Coach to support and promote the philosophy and training plan for participation and competition of all swimmers in assigned groups. (Ages 8-12)

• Communicate effectively with parents, swimmers, and other coaches (email, phone, face to face).

• Coordinate online meet entries (Team Unify). 

• Attend all scheduled swim meets, meetings, and team functions as required.

• Assist Head Coach with planning seasonal practice and meet schedules.

• Works flexible hours including morning/nights and weekends and attending swim meets (in/out of town)

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years successful experience as an Age Group Coach or Head/Lead Age Group Coach

• Strong Communication & Administrative skills

• Be flexible to all practice facilities (JCC Squirrel Hill, JCC South Hills, Allderdice HS, Henry Kaufmann pool in Monroeville PA)

• Meet all USA Swimming certification and coaching requirements (CPR, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, USA Swimming Background Check, Athlete Protection, Lifeguard, First Aid, Concussion, etc.)
