About Us: The Dolphins are a local swim team swimming out of the local community outdoor pool.  Our team is usually comprised of ~100 swimmers.  Practices are hosted in the morning and meets during the evening.  The season runs from early June to mid July.  Additional information can be found on our team website.

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Summer Swim Team Coach to lead our team of young athletes in achieving their full potential. As a Swim Team Coach, you will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs, providing technical instruction, and fostering a positive and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training program focused on improving athletes' skills, endurance, and technique.
  • Provide individualized coaching and feedback to each swimmer to help them reach their goals.
  • Plan and lead structured practice sessions that balance skill development, conditioning, and fun.
  • Organize and coordinate team participation in swim meets and competitions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
  • Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and staff members to ensure clarity and alignment of goals.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience coaching competitive swim teams, preferably at the summer league level.
  • Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, training principles, and competitive strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes of all ages and skill levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate swim meets and practice schedules.
