Northern Dutchess Aquatic Club (NDAC) is seeking an inspiring and energetic Group 2 Coach (9-10 year olds) with excellent leadership, communication, and team building skills to support the club's membership and established coaching staff.
Responsibilities include:
• Establishing an environment that fosters positive team attitude while teaching self-discipline, sportsmanship, responsibility, and respect.
• Coordinating with the head coach to develop and implement a swim training program that is technically, age, and developmentally appropriate, which allows swimmers of different abilities to reach their highest potential while considering all learning styles.
• Communicating and working effectively with the head coach, other coaches, parents of swimmers, and the volunteer parent board regarding all matters of the club.
• Demonstrating mature judgment, reliability, availability, and ethical behavior including punctuality, confidentiality, positive and constructive feedback, and the ability to function in a multi-task environment.
• Working flexible hours including nights and weekends, and attending swim meets.
• Being a positive role model, maintaining high ethical and moral standards, and adhering to all rules and policies of NDAC, Metropolitan Swimming and USA Swimming.
Compensation: Competitive compensation will be offered commensurate with experience and credentials. Possible pay increases with experience and growth.
Approximate Hours: Mondays and Fridays 4:00-5:00 pm, Wednesdays 7:00-8:00 pm, and Saturdays 1:00-2:00 pm. Days of work and precise hours may vary at times. Some weekends for meets.

NDAC trains at Bard College's Stevenson Athletic Center Pool.
NDAC swimmers come from both sides of the Hudson River:
Red Hook, Tivoli, Germantown, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck, Pine Plains, Ashokan, West Hurley, Kingston and Woodstock
NDAC offers two seasons and many NDAC swimmers train and compete year-round.
Fall/Winter Season - Short Course Yards runs from mid-September through March.
Spring/Summer Season - Long Course Meters runs from April through June or July.
NDAC is a USA Swimming Club and a member of Metropolitan Swimming Inc. LSC.
All NDAC Coaches are certified by USA Swimming and are members of the American Swimming Coaches Association.
NDAC is a not-for-profit club, run by its elected volunteer Parent Board of Directors which meets each month.
