Weston Swimming Head Senior Coach

Weston Swimming is looking for a Head Senior Coach to join our team. This is a salaried full time position. The Head Senior Coach should Develop and implement effective training plans in alignment with the team's objectives and individual swimmer goals. Provide personalized feedback and coaching to swimmers, helping them improve their skills and reach their potential. Monitor swimmer progress and adjust training programs as necessary. With the Head Coach, would help organize the overall meet schedule and plan for those athletes. 

Practices are two hours in duration and occur Monday-Thursday afternoons/evenings and Friday and Saturday mornings  In addition, be available to help cover any additional 12/under practices in coordination with the Head Coach. In addition the coach should plan on attending one to two meets per month.

Weston Swimming is a 100-120 Athlete, Parent Board managed, Non profit Swim team. Including a developmental 8&U program, 9-12 yr Age Group Team and 13&Over Senior Program. We compete at meets ranging from CT Regional Championships to Eastern Zone Sectional championships as well as Jr National and the US Open traveling all over the country as far as California and Florida.

Our team philosophy is that all athletes deserve the attention and instruction to meet their potential and that as coaches we are here to guide them through their youth to achieve their highest goals both in and out of the pool. We have a close knit group of swimmers with a

family feel from a small town but, we believe that we can compete at the highest level against

the largest teams.

 

Prerequisites to apply:

  • Must have experience working or competing on a USA swim program with 13/Over athletes.

  • Must have or be willing to get certifications for Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and all CT/USA Swimming educational requirements.

  • Must enjoy working with athletes of all skill levels ranging from development to National.

  • Must be available during Short Course (Early September - Mid March) and Long Course (Early April - Mid July).

  • Must approach the sport from a mindset of working hard and loving the hard work. It is what we ask of all our swimmers and our coaches.

  • Ongoing training, clinics, in-services, and Certification classes are strongly supported by Weston Swimming and will be considered (and paid for in part or full) by Weston Swimming on a case-by-case basis.
