Part-Time Assistant Coach

Position Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Location: Southwest ISD Aquatic Center

Responsibilities:

As a Part-Time Assistant Coach and potential Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in supporting our club swim team and ensuring the safety of participants in various programs. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Assistant Coach for Club Swim Team:

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting swim team practices.
• Provide guidance and support to swimmers during training sessions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.

2. Potential Lifeguarding:

• Monitor and ensure the safety of individuals participating in swim programs.
• Enforce pool safety rules and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Conduct regular inspections of the pool area and equipment.
• Maintain a vigilant and proactive approach to prevent accidents.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience and knowledge of competitive swimming techniques.
• Lifeguard certification from a recognized authority.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, staff, and swimmers.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week. The schedule may include evenings and weekends based on the swim team's practice and competition schedule.
