Aquatics Specialist II (Assistant Swim Coach) - Athletics

The History of the aquatics programs at Punahou are long and rich. Aquatic programs plays an integral role in the student experience. The philosophy of Punahou’s Aquatics Department is to encourage student athletes, within the framework of the educational mission of the school, to be the best that they can be both in and out of the pool. The various programs provide instruction and competition for all levels of ability: from entry-level to college- and Olympic-level athletes.
 
Punahou Aquatics’s Swim Team is seeking a Part Time Assistant Swim Coach (Aquatics Specialist II). The ideal candidate will work with students ranging from 6-18 years old that are in both the developmental and competitive phase of the sport. The position will require mornings and/or afternoon classes during the week as well as the possibility of working weekends.

Position Details:

• Work Year: 12 Month
  
• School Year: 2024-2025
  
• Work Hours: Monday - Saturday, 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM, Schedule will vary based on operational needs. 
  
• Starting Hourly Rate*: $17.00/Hour

*Punahou School offers a comprehensive total rewards program that includes competitive pay. The pay rate, if displayed, is the minimum hourly rate for the position. Pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors such as knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant training and experience, and internal equity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  
• One (1) year of recent aquatics coaching experience and/or equivalent experience.
  
• Water Safety Instructor certification and/or equivalent experience.
  
• National ASCA Level III certification or higher preferred.
  
• Have/willing to obtain necessary USA Swimming Certifications.
  
• Leadership experience preferred.
  
• Positive, energetic and team oriented.
