Summary: Daland Swim School is seeking a skilled and experienced Water Fitness Instructor to teach groups of all ages and skill levels in water fitness. The instructor will be responsible for conducting safe and effective water fitness lessons that align with the needs and abilities of our swimmers.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greet all clients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude.
Lead engaging and effective water fitness classes tailored to participants of various fitness levels, ensuring proper exercise techniques and safety.
Contribute to the growth and development of the water fitness program by suggesting new class formats, special events, and innovative approaches to meet the evolving needs of our community.
Develop and implement class plans and routines that are engaging, varied, and suitable for different fitness levels.
Keep music playlist relevant, fun and appropriate to the audience.
Ensure that all equipment and facilities are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
Attend regular training sessions and meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest water fitness techniques, safety protocols and certifications.
Education/Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in teaching water fitness with a current existing customer base
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Possess the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Certificates and Licenses: Red Cross CPR/First Aid (or Lifeguarding) certification is required. We provide all needed training and offer the required certifications at our facility. Please note that Red Cross certifications will require an upfront cost, reimbursable after 6 months of employment.
