About Us:
Greenmeadow Community Association (GMCA) is a small but vibrant non-profit community organization in South Palo Alto. We're seeking an energetic and versatile team player to join us as an Assistant Manager and Marlins Head Coach. This role is vital to our daily operations and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Assistant Manager (Approx. 50%, Varies by Season)

  • Aquatic Department Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and supervision of aquatic programs, ensuring safety and high-quality standards.

  • Lifeguard Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage lifeguard staff to maintain safety and compliance with policies and laws. Ensure proper scheduling and coverage.

  • Program Development: Assist in planning and conducting aquatic camps, clinics, and lessons for all ages.

  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure pool facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained. Oversee equipment condition and facility inspections.

  • Community Engagement: Support GMCA events, manage clubhouse rentals, and facilitate volunteer activities.

Marlins Swim Team Head Coach (Approx. 50%, Varies by Season) 

This is a developmental swim team. We participate in a local summer swim league.

  • Coaching: Lead year-round practices and create training programs for swimmers aged 4-18. Mentor and train assistant coaches.

  • Team Management: Plan and attend all swim meets and team events. Manage team communications and registrations.

  • Administration: Handle swim team logistics, including meet scheduling, communication, and website management. Coordinate with the swim team committee on events and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Management and administrative experience, preferably in aquatics. Competitive swimming/coaching background.

  • Certifications: Current Lifeguard Certification required. Lifeguard Instructor Certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).

  • Skills: Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Friendly, creative, and self-motivated.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to coach and swim proficiently. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, with occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

  • Seasonal Schedule: Hours vary by season, with peak periods during swim season.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 annually
