Winding Vista is looking for an experienced Head Coach to lead our successful and highly competitive summer league team. Our team philosophy is to promote and maintain a balanced atmosphere of good sportsmanship, fun, team unity, proper swimming technique, safety, and excellence in effort.
Requirements:
- Coaching experience in a competitive swimming environment.
-CPR and Lifeguard certified.
-Pass ASA background check and fulfill SafeSport certification requirements.
-Knowledge, understanding, and thorough adherence to the Atlanta Swimming Association Rules and Regulations.
Duties:
-Oversee practices, meets, and ASA championship (including line-ups, exchanges, and the preparation of meet documents).
-Work with team members ages 4-18 in a way that considers varied social, emotional and physical attributes.
-Manage and help all coaches develop their coaching skills.
-Attend required ASA coaching meetings.
-Utilize meet management tools (Swimtopia and/or Meet Maestro).
-Partner with the swim coordinator(s) to recommend support coaching roles and set coaching best practices to ensure a productive and successful swim season per the team philosophy.
-Partner and communicate with the Winding Vista board and swim coordinator(s) before and throughout the season to plan, make improvements, report status, etc., to ensure a productive and successful swim season per the team philosophy.
-Communicate in a clear and timely fashion with swimmers, coaches, parents, swim team coordinator(s).

Our 2024 Vipers repeated as Division Champs at the Atlanta Swim Association Championships. The Vipers were also Division Champs in 2023 and 2022, and placed 2nd in the Gold division at ASA Championships in 2021 and 2019.
Our Vipers have a long and proud history. Some swim year-round, some set ASA league records, some compete in college or the Olympic trials, some simply love to swim and cheer with our team each summer. There's a place for everyone with the Vipers, and we welcome them all!
