Boise Swim Club is a competitive USA Swimming Team in Boise, Idaho. Boise Swim Club is consistently recognized as one of the top-performing Snake River Swimming teams for the past 10 years. Our team consistently has swimmers performing at the Senior Sectionals level, and are focused on developing Futures, Jr. National and National level qualifiers. We are looking to hire a coach who can join our team in our mission to provide a high-caliber program to all swimmers from the grassroots level to the elite while focusing on character development in and out of the pool. Our ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the development and success of swimmers within our program. You will collaborate closely with the Senior Lead Coach, Head Coach, and Owner to execute training sessions, monitor athlete progress, and create a positive and motivating atmosphere for swimmers.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation:
Work with the Lead Coach and assistant coaches to implement seasonal, weekly, and daily workout plans.
Track and evaluate the progress of swimmers within training groups
Abide by all Safe Sport Guidelines and Policies
Abide by USA Swimming rules and policies along with being a good role model for all BSC members
Initiate, develop, and maintain positive relationships with swimmers
Assist in enforcing club and pool policies at all times
Help to teach and facilitate the Leadership portion of the BSC program
Work daily to nurture the potential of youth and teens
Promote the Mission and Vision of Boise Swim Club
Lead practices of the group(s) given by the Head Coach with care and excitement.
Ensure the safety of swimmers at the practice by following proper precautions and regulations per USA Swimming, Boise Swim Club, and the host facility
Give swimmers knowledge to understand and master stokes or dry land techniques allowing for movement up through the swim team groups

Swimmer Development:
Identify individual strengths, areas for improvement, and goal-setting strategies.
Meet Participation:
Encourage swimmers to attend and actively participate in local and travel swim meets
Provide on-deck coaching support at swim meets
Administrative Duties:
Maintain valid USA Swimming coaching certifications
Help design training programs and sets as needed
Attend coaches' meetings regularly
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience in competitive swimming is preferred
Previous competitive swimming at the club, high school, or collegiate level is preferred
Understanding of swimming technique, training principles, and racing strategies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, parents, and swimmers
Enthusiastic, positive, and passionate about the development of athletes
Willingness to learn and grow as a coach
Ability to pass a Background Check
Current certifications in USA Swimming required certifications or the ability to obtain such certifications.

Reimbursement for USA Swimming certifications is available upon completion of all requirements and verification of good standing with USA Swimming
Expense reimbursement for meets away from the home pool
Compensation commensurate with experience

Boise Swim Club teaches and trains athletes about competitive swimming utilizing innovative training techniques along with dryland strength training for our swimmers 13yrs and up. BSC is partnered with Idaho Fitness Academy for strength training as a means of developing core strength to prevent injuries. Combining dryland strength training and training in the water, BSC provides a method for complete training.
At the core of our program, we provide character and leadership skills development to all of our athletes from our youngest to oldest. We instill the importance of living the core values of Boise Swim Club, which creates a positive and healthy culture on our team.
