Waterpark Directors with LIVunLtd utilize their leadership skills and previous experience to lead their team to success throughout the year. They handle those day-to-day management tasks associated with the pool to include maintenance, staff scheduling, organization of swim lesson programs, staff oversight, event coordination, and direct patron/client relations. They are also responsible for cash handling and any other tasks assigned to them by their director. Directors must commit to working a minimum of 5 days a week, including holidays.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and manage lifeguard staff, monitor attendance, and performance.
Properly maintain facility cleanliness; including but not limited to being responsible for garbage nights and bathroom checks.
Develop and implement aquatic based programming such as swim lessons, swim team practices and water aerobic classes.
Perform basic facility operations; including but not limited to member check-ins, guest policy adherence, monitoring pool hours.
Enforce all facility and pool rules and regulations.
Upkeep and perform required maintenance of whirlpool and pool filtration systems.
Ensure that a proper maintenance schedule is executed by pool vendors according to standard daily/weekly/monthly tasks such as mechanical system inspection, backwash, chemical distribution, etc.
Ensure a superior, high level of customer service is being provided to all members and guests.
Work in conjunction with LIV unLtd Management for chemical supply and equipment ordering, monitoring and adjusting operating budgets according to business needs.
Maintain and complete required training and applicable certifications such as, but not limited to Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Lifeguarding, etc.
Adhere and adapt to all current and new LIVunLtd policies, procedures and initiatives.
Wear corporate / building approved uniform for each specific LIVunLtd location where you are working.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities specific to the location / building and upon the request of your manager.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with lifeguards and pool personnel.
Must have an American Red Cross, Ellis & Associates, or StarGuard Lifeguard Certification and at least 1 year experience as Head Guard.
Must have or be willing to obtain a Lifeguard Instructor Certification.
Must have or be willing to obtain a CPO certification and have working knowledge of pool chemistry and pool mechanical operations.
Must possess a friendly attitude, have excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to executing all duties in a professional manner: timely, prompt, attentive and must be detail-oriented.
Must have 3+ years experience in a leadership/manager position.
