Position Summary

The position of the Aquatics Meet director includes all Meet Director Duties in compliance with USA swimming and YMCA swimming guidelines. Must be fully knowledgeable to all USA swimming and YMCA meet rules and guidelines. Must also be familiar with NAIA meet director guidelines and swim meet regulations. Must also be familiar with NSAA meet director guidelines and swim meet regulations. Position includes Head Coaches Duties of the Fremont Area Swim team and works with the Aquatics Director to ensure paid lane space and meets at the Dillion Family Aquatics Center operate.

Maintain swim meet equipment and makes proper repairs. Reports damage, failures and reports on equipment losses to the Aquatics Director. Stays within annual budget guidelines provided by the Aquatics Director. Maintains all Meet Manager software updates. Familiarize themselves with any current meet streaming equipment and software.

Achieve yearly revenue goals set by the annual budget and stay within annual budget expenses. Schedule assistant coaches for practices and meets. Ensure all FAST coaches and volunteers are Safe Sport compliant. Attend and coach at out-of-town swim meets.

Maintain relationships with USA swimming, YMCA, NAIA, and NSAA coaches and meet officials. Maintains relationships with volunteers and seeks out opportunities for new volunteers. Visits outside communities season based swim teams to provide information and encouragement for seasonal swimmers to join the FAST team.

Strives to meet or exceed goals and delivers a high-value experience for competitive swim teams and participants. Embraces new approaches and discovers ideas to create a better competitive swim team experience.
