MISSION
To coach safe, fun and effective, swim practices, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Aquatics Director. Emphasize proper stroke technique and foster a love for the sport. Represent the Swim Team in a manner that is consistent, professional, and supportive.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Making your students’ safety and enjoyment your number one priority.
Coach all practices and swim meets as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis with little to no adjustments.
Arrive early to practice to prepare, and stay after to interact with participants and/or their parents.
Encourage students to feel successful and encourage them to participate in swim competitions.
Convey warmth and genuine interest to the students: make eye contact, smile and use students’ names.
Help guide, mentor and train assistant coaches.
Responsible for the operation of the swim team including recruiting and communicating with parents and swimmers with the direction of the Head Swim Coach.
To create and deepen relationships with members that we know and do not yet know. That will add value to their membership, enhance their sense of belonging and sense of community within the club.
Know and follow all club and aquatics department policies and guidelines.
Ensure all life-saving equipment is readily available and know proper use of such equipment.
Achieve and maintain certifications needed for Swim Coach; USA Coaching certification, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, and participate in continuing education in your profession.
Adhere to all Club Standards, Policies and Procedures.

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Arrive to work on time
Work the hours and schedule with minimum requested changes.
Requires weekday and weekend hours.

Able to achieve required certifications.
Able to properly demonstrate all strokes and techniques taught.
Able to perform assigned lesson/class of duration of class while teaching and coaching without becoming out of breath (i.e. maintain a level of cardiovascular fitness that allows this)
