Learn to Swim Director Job Description
The Learn to Swim Director is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of the EMAC Learn to Swim program. They are responsible for creating and executing the programming including community outreach, standards, and curriculum, as well as developing the skills and talent of the instructors.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, supervise, and evaluate staff
Create, maintain, update and train instructors on the swim lessons curriculum to ensure the program is successful long term and keeps safety as priority one
Ensure instructor training compliance with the Swim Whisperers (Swim AngelFish) certification requirements
Oversight of any administrative duties for lessons
Oversight of regular communications with families
Ensure that Learn to Swim maintains exceptionally high safety standards
Work closely with facility operations to ensure lifeguards are available for lessons
Review, analyze, and evaluate processes and procedures; including safety, parent/student communication, staff accountability, programming, and registration
Provide critical input and strategic insights during the development of the yearly budget
Ensure efficient allocation and stringent management of the budget and expenses to maximize profitability and sustainability
Work closely with the Age Group program coaches and staff to ensure seamless transition from learn to swim to the competitive swimming program
Coordinate and execute on ongoing program marketing strategy for Learn to Swim
Maintain a healthy working relationship with stakeholders at Steel Fitness Premier
Work with the Executive Director to obtain funding through various sources to cover current levels of outreach as well as intended growth
Serve on LVHN-EMAC Steering Committee, advancing the relationship and bringing more partners to the program
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of lessons program leadership experience
Proven leader and developer of staff
Experience with Jackrabbit scheduling software preferred
In-depth knowledge of pool and deck safety procedures
Demonstrated ability in administrative skills and understanding of budgets and P&L
Solid interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children as well as staff and families
Knowledge of SwimWhisperer Certifications and willingness to become certified
Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days
