ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVES
Provide a positive, encouraging, safe, and challenging atmosphere consistent with the mission and values of FSC in which all swimmers, regardless of age or abilities, may improve their skills.
Demonstrate passion for competitive swimming, enthusiasm for working with young athletes, and be able to coach and motivate swimmers with a positive approach.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement a comprehensive training program tailored to athletes of varying skill levels, from developmental to elite swimmers.
Monitor and assess swimmer progress through regular evaluations, goal-setting, and feedback.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment that promotes personal and athletic growth.
Design age-appropriate seasonal training plans focusing on technique, endurance, strength, and race strategy.
Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques, training methodologies, and USA Swimming best practices.
Maintain open, transparent, and professional communication with parents regarding swimmer progress, team updates, and club policies.
Conduct regular parent meetings to discuss goals, schedules, and expectations.
Act as a liaison between parents and the coaching staff, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Provide educational resources to help parents understand swimmer development and the competitive swimming process.
Recruit, mentor, and supervise assistant coaches, ensuring consistency in coaching philosophy and training methods.
Cultivate a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
Plan and coordinate team participation in local, regional, and national competitions.
Develop and enforce team policies and guidelines in alignment with USA Swimming's Safe Sport standards.
Attend all scheduled meets.
Work with and maintain professional relationships with Aquatic Center staff and high school coaches.
Remain free of any alcohol or illegal substance in the workplace in compliance with Policy 4122.01 throughout their employment in the District.
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the club’s strategic vision.
Assist with budgeting, fundraising, and sponsorship efforts to support team growth.
Manage team registration, meet entries, and communication through team management software (e.g., TeamUnify, Meetmanager, Swim Manager).
Ensure compliance with all USA Swimming regulations, including certifications and safety protocols.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities necessary within the scope of this employment position as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
LOCATION: East Central Wisconsin. Sixty miles north of Milwaukee on Highway 41. Easy driving distance to Appleton, Oshkosh, Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay. Marian University (four years) located in Fond du Lac. City population and surrounding area which constitutes the school district, approximately 45,000.
SCHOOLS: 14 schools – one high school, grades 9-12 with an alternative high school option; three middle schools, grades 6-8; nine elementary schools, grades 4K-5; and one STEM charter school serving grades 6 - 12.

Title IX Nondiscrimination Policy Statement –
As mandated by the current provisions of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and under the regulations set forth in Chapter 106 of Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations (“the federal Title IX regulations”), the District does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of sex in any education program or activity that the District operates. Title IX’s requirement not to discriminate in any education program or activity extends to cover, but is not limited to, District students, certain admissions processes, and District employment.
