Age Group Assistant Coach - Colorado Springs

Rocky Mountain Rapids is a growing year-round USA Swimming team serving the Colorado Springs and El Paso County regions in the Central Colorado. Our mission is to foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive swim environment, helping swimmers of all levels achieve their goals in and out of the pool. We offer a robust swim program designed for all athletes, from beginners in swim lessons to national-level competitors.

We are seeking an Age Group Coach to join our dedicated coaching staff and vibrant swim community. The coach will lead our Class 2 (9-10 & 11-12) group and assist with several other groups in our Age Group development program. This role involves contributing to all aspects of team development, athlete growth, program management, and preparing athletes for competition. A typical week will include approximately 5 - 8 hours of on-deck coaching and 1-2 hours of administrative work.

This coach will also have options to work with learn to swim, stroke instruction and high school swimming.

This position offers room for growth into a full-time salaried role with benefits as the club grows and develops.

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching and/or competitive swimming experience at the club or collegiate level.
• Current USA Swimming Coach & Safe Sport certifications.
• Passion for coaching and developing swimmers of all ages and abilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of current techniques in swim training and development.
• Enthusiastic, hard-working, and a highly motivated team player.

Compensation:
Rocky Mountain Rapids offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $18.50 – $25.00/HR based on qualifications and experience.
