Aquatic Rehabilitation Specialist
The Aquatic Rehabilitation Specialist will conduct safe, fun, dynamic and effective water fitness classes based on YMCA Standards & Guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct initial client assessments.
- Develop treatment plans based on their individual needs and goals.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to improve clients' mobility, strength, and pain management.
- Continuously assess and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, including treatment notes and progress reports, in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of therapy equipment and tools.
- Collaborate with other staff, to provide comprehensive client care.
- Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, as well as YMCA policies and procedures.
- Safety: Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff, including adherence to infection control measures.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in related field.
- Current CPR/AED certifications.
- Must have an Aquatic Therapy Rehab Institute certification.
- Excellent customer service and communications skills.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
