Lake Director

Seasonal Aquatic Director

Job Description

As the lake director, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and personnel for the Stirling Lake aquatic facility. You will ensure the safety and satisfaction of visitors by managing a team of lifeguards and coordinating activities to maintain a clean, organized, and enjoyable environment. 
Requirements:
- Develop and implement schedules for lifeguard staff to ensure coverage during operating hours.
- Help train staff / provide weekly tests on safety protocols, responsibilities, etc. 
- Monitor all areas of lake facility - weather conditions, equipment, crowd levels, and to make informed decisions regarding operational adjustments.
- Enforce safety regulations and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of visitors and staff.
- Address any visitor questions, complaints, and issues.
- Work directly with the LHT Parks & Recreation Department with various updates and other information on a daily basis. 
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support for staff, by maintaining a fun and positive work environment. 
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in supervisory or leadership role - preferably in an aquatic facility environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professional with staff and visitors.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certification preferred (or willing to obtain upon hiring)
