Enjoy ideal summer hours—Tuesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 7 PM—while leading an experienced and professional aquatics team at a bustling Ipswich YMCA pool with a water park.
As the Head Lifeguard, you will oversee daily operations, safety, and security at one of the YMCA’s most active aquatics facilities, ensuring a fun and safe experience for all guests. In this leadership role, you’ll manage, support, and lead the lifeguard team, oversee pool operations, and ensure all safety protocols are upheld.
✅ Supervise and enforce safety regulations and pool rules for all patrons.
✅ Monitor the pool area for safety hazards and respond to emergencies as needed.
✅ Remain rescue-ready at all times and implement emergency procedures when necessary.
✅ Assess swimmers' abilities to ensure they are using appropriate areas of the pool.
✅ Train and mentor new staff through shadowing and ongoing professional development.
✅ Ensure proper chemical levels and pool maintenance, keeping accurate logs to meet safety compliance standards.

Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Must have 3 plus years of experience in a relevant field in guiding youth, connecting with the community or a managerial role.
Current certifications in Lifeguard, Pro CPR, First Aid and Oxygen.
Water front certification is a plus!!
