Head Coach - Lake Central Barracudas Swim Club
Position Overview: The Lake Central Barracudas Swim Club is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Head Coach to lead our competitive swim program. The Head Coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive training program that fosters individual swimmer growth, team success, and a positive club culture. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to oversee all aspects of the swim program, including coaching, athlete development, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement season training plans for all levels of swimmers, from developmental to elite.
Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
Supervise and mentor Assistant Head Coach and assistant coaches, ensuring consistent coaching methods and philosophies.
Organize and lead team practices, meets, and special events.
Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and club administration regarding training schedules, expectations, and team updates.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience at the club, high school, or collegiate level.
USA Swimming Coaching Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).
Knowledge of Hytek, Colorado and Team Unify systems.
Knowledge of competitive swimming techniques, training programs, and athlete development.
Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a large team.
Excellent communication skills with athletes, parents, and coaching staff.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel for competitions.
CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification (or willingness to obtain before employment).

Assistant Head Coach - Lake Central Barracudas Swim Club
Position Overview: The Lake Central Barracudas Swim Club is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Head Coach to support our swimmers in achieving their personal and competitive goals. The Assistant Head Coach will report directly to the Head Coach and work closely with him or her to provide high-quality training, technique instruction, and motivation to our swimmers. The central component of this role will be the development of our youngest and/or newest swimmers, and will be highly focused on instilling proper technique. It is ideal for someone passionate about working with the youngest of athletes in a positive and encouraging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Create an environment that fosters a positive team attitude while teaching self-discipline, sportsmanship, responsibility, and respect.
Collaborate with the Head Coach to develop and implement a swim training program that is technically sound, age-appropriate, and developmentally appropriate, including both water and dryland training. The program should enable swimmers of varying abilities to reach their full potential, while considering different learning styles.
Communicate and work effectively with the Head Coach, other coaches, parents of swimmers, and the board of directors regarding all matters of the club.
Demonstrate mature judgment, reliability, availability, and ethical behavior including punctuality, confidentiality, positive and constructive feedback, and the ability to function in a multi-task environment.
Work meet sessions as directed by the Head Coach.
Participate in team activities, fundraisers, and community outreach efforts.

Our team is a year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide a safe and supportive environment while giving every member an opportunity to improve their swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability. LCB proudly participates in the USA Swimming Safe Sport Program. All of our coaches, as members of the American Swimming Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time. We are a non profit club, run by an elected Board of Directors which meets each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers.
