Key Responsibilities:
Season Planning:
Collaborate with the Executive Board, club presidents, and Assistant Coach (if applicable) to create a season training and competition plan.
Practice Management:
Attend ~3 practices per week and ensure at least one coach is present at each session.
Write weekly practice plans and provide guidance to swimmers.
Practice sessions are during late hours, typically falling some time between 7:00 PM and 11:30 PM.
Meet Participation:
Attend home meets, away meets, and Nationals (notify the Executive Board 2 weeks in advance if absent).
Additional Duties:
Contribute to creating meet line-ups, relay teams, and any other tasks as needed.
Compensation & Schedule (2025-2026):
Salary:
$17.50 per hour; accurate timesheet submission is required.
Practice Guidelines:
One coach per practice (averaging 2–3 weekly), with both coaches compensated for designated sessions (e.g., Fall Tryouts Day 2, initial practices, pre-meet sessions at the Executive Board’s discretion).
Meet Guidelines:
No pay for travel time; both coaches compensated for home meets; one coach for away meets.
Nationals Exception:
Flights and lodging provided.
Capped compensated hours: Friday (4 hrs max), Saturday (8 hrs max), Sunday (8 hrs max) – total 20 hrs (unless only one coach attends).
