Position: Assistant Swim Coach
Teams: Boys & Girls Swim Teams
Start Date: August 2, 2025
Responsibilities:
Assist with developing and implement a comprehensive scope of sequence and detailed daily practice schedules.
Assist with creating and manage a UIL-compliant meet schedule, including coordinating all logistical aspects for both home and away meets, and ensure attendance at all competitions.
Assist with leading and instruct daily swim team practices, providing effective coaching and guidance to student-athletes.
Assist with maintaining accurate records of daily attendance, conduct, and grades using Skyward.
Assist with establishing and maintain effective communication with parents, principals, counselors, Booster Club members, and both local and central athletics staff.
Assist with overseeing and maintain the inventory of all swim team equipment, ensuring its proper care and functionality.
Assist with actively recruit new students to participate in the swim program.
Assist with developing and manage the team's budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources.
Qualifications:
Required: Texas teaching certification. Preferred teaching fields include Special Education (Sped), Spanish.
Preferred: Coaching experience in swimming at the high school or collegiate level.
Required: Lifeguard Certification. Must attend Sweetwater Pools Lifeguard Review annually.
