Coast Guard Blue Dolphins is a non-profit, board-run, year-round competitive swim team, and swim lessons program serving communities in the Virginia Hampton Roads region (Newport News, Yorktown, Hampton, Suffolk, and Williamsburg) with over 2000

members across our team and lessons programs. Our mission is to empower every athlete to achieve their full potential in a safe sport, team environment. Promote team unity and the love of swimming. We are a model swim club for athletes, families,

and coaches in Virginia Swimming.

Are you a highly motivated and experienced swim coach or lessons instructor looking to take the next step in your career? Coast Guard Blue Dolphins (CGBD) is hiring for various coaching and instructor positions. They are looking for individuals passionate about swimming, particularly those who enjoy working with children and have experience in coaching or teaching. The team is hiring for multiple positions:

1. Full-time Age Group Coach

2. Part-time Assistant Coach

3. SwimAmerica Supervisor

4. SwimAmerica Lessons Instructors

As a member of the Coast Guard Blue Dolphins staff, you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire and to deliver top-quality instruction to swimmers of all ages and abilities. You’ll be responsible for managing groups of swimmers, ensuring high levels of customer service, and maintaining a strong focus on customer retention and satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience

• Proven experience with administrative work including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.

• Exceptional communication skills including face-to-face, over-the-phone and email correspondence.

• Experience in training staff.

• A valid driving license with Real ID

• An up-to-date lifeguard, CPR, and first aid qualification is desirable but not essential.

• Experience in teaching adult and child programs is desirable but not essential.

• ASCA Level 1 and 2 Certification are desirable not but essential.

• Experience within a club setting is desirable but not essential.

• USA Swimming Certification is desirable but not essential.
