Assistant Swim Coach

Lyons Aquatics, a renowned swim club with a long-standing commitment to swimming excellence and athlete development, is inviting applications for the role of Assistant Swim Coach. Based in Western Springs, Illinois, Lyons Aquatics offers a comprehensive swim program catering to swimmers of all ages and skill levels.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about swimming, dedicated to swimmer development, and loves working with children. The successful candidate will support coaching our developmental and competitive age group, as well as senior swimmers. This role requires availability during late afternoon and evening hours on weekdays, including extended hours during meet weekends.

Qualifications/Expectations:

• Prior coaching experience, especially with children and competitive swimmers.
• Compliance with USA Swimming's safety and background check requirements for coach membership.
• In-depth knowledge of competitive swimming techniques and stroke mechanics.
• Highly motivated, vibrant, inspiring leader, collaborative, reliable, and excellent in communication.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and growth within the club.
• USA Swimming Coach certification is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
• The club will cover the costs of required certifications and USA Swimming membership, as well as reimburse approved professional development fees.
