Swimming Instructor

Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and dependable Swim Instructor to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with swimmers of all ages and skill levels, helping them build water confidence, improve their technique, and stay safe in and around the water. Whether working with beginners or advanced students, you’ll provide engaging, high-quality instruction in a supportive and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead individual and group swim lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Teach and demonstrate correct swimming techniques and water safety practices.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
• Assess swimmer progress regularly and provide clear, encouraging feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to maintain consistency and quality across programs.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by following established safety and emergency procedures.
• Keep the pool and surrounding areas clean, organized, and safe before and after lessons.
• Support or participate in special events, swim evaluations, or team activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching or coaching children or adults is preferred.
• Background in competitive swimming, physical education, or recreation is a plus.
• Lifeguard certification preferred but not required (must be willing to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to motivate and connect with students of all ages.
• A genuine passion for swimming and a desire to help others succeed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
