Age Group Coach

Lower Moreland Swim is a competitive, year-round USA Swim Team in the suburban Philadelphia region. We are currently looking for coaches with high energy and a passion for swimming to join our coaching staff.

The Assistant Swim Coach is responsible for providing instruction and feedback to swimmers in our program, which ranges from developmental to senior level athletes. Assistant Coaches are also responsible for promoting a positive training environment and fostering relationships with parents and swimmers.

Multiple part-time positions are available with the flexibility for either a year-round or seasonal (September through June) role. The Assistant Coach may also have the opportunity to instruct swim lessons in the private, semi-private and group lesson capacity, for additional income.

Duties are to include, but are not limited to:

• Coach and manage practice groups, and provide ongoing feedback to swimmers
• Communicate with parents on swimmer progression, practice attendance and/or behavioral issues
• Working collaboratively with coaching staff to set group progressions, team goals, and program goals.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Must truly enjoy working with kids, have a sense of humor, and an ability to meld with the training philosophy of the coach/program.

Qualifications:
A successful applicant must have a passion for the sport; prior coaching experience and demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with superiors, parents and connect with children/ teenage swimmers.
