Job Summary

The ETown Dolphins Swim Club is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Swim Coach to support the Head Coach in delivering a high-quality swim program. The Assistant Coach will work with swimmers of all levels, from beginners to advanced competitors, and assist in coordinating practices, providing on-deck coaching, and supporting athletes during swim meets. This role is integral to fostering a positive and encouraging team environment that supports both skill development and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

·       Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting swim practices for all skill levels.

·       Provide direct on-deck coaching and supervision during scheduled practice times.

·       Support coaching efforts during swim meets, including athlete warm-ups, race preparation, and feedback as needed.

·       Encourage athlete development through positive reinforcement, technique instruction, and goal setting.

·       Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all swimmers, adhering to all safety protocols and team guidelines.

·       Maintain open and respectful communication with athletes, parents, and coaching staff.

·       Attend team meetings, coaching clinics, and training sessions as required.

·       Support administrative tasks related to the swim team, including attendance, meet entries, and event coordination.

Qualifications

·       Knowledge of swim strokes, techniques, and training methods.

·       Ability to work effectively with swimmers of various ages and skill levels.

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills.

·       Must pass a background check and meet all USA Swimming coaching requirements.

·       Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications.
