About us:

Established in 1961, the COR Swim Team is one of the oldest, most tradition rich USA Swim Clubs in the North Dallas area.  COR has a long history of developing local, state, national and international ranked swimmers as well as developing several of the top coaches in Texas and throughout the United States.

Position Overview:

This is a part-time coaching opportunity.  The successful candidate will work under the direction of COR’s Head Age Group Coach, with the primary focus of leading the team’s top 10 & Under group, while assisting with COR’s additional 14 & Under groups.  Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Create daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal practice plans / goals.
  • Attend local swim meets (about 1-2 per month).
  • Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents and others involved with the team.
  • Monitor and evaluate swimmers’ progress, adjusting practices / training plans as needed.
  • Keep regular attendance of group(s).
  • Assist with the running of COR hosted Swim Meets when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Competitive swimming background as a swimmer or coach.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience as a competitive swim coach (but not required).
  • Knowledge of stroke techniques, training methodologies, and competition strategies.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High School graduate or higher-level educational background.
  • Desire to develop, learn and grow as a professional swim coach.
  • Ability to pass USA Swimming background check and become certified in CPR, AED / First Aid & USA Swim Coaches Certifications.

Hours & Pay:

  • Competitive part-time hourly wage, that can transition into part-time salary after a probationary period.
