Lead Assistant Coaching Opportunity with Coeur d’Alene Area Swim Team (CAST).
This is a Salaried Position, commensurate with experience (plus benefits and incentives). The Coeur d’Alene Area Swim Team (CAST) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Coach to support our Head Coach in elevating our competitive swim program to national prominence. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate coach to contribute to a dynamic, athlete-focused team under new management and a Head Coach/CEO model. The Assistant Coach will play a key role in implementing the Head Coach’s vision, fostering athlete development, and supporting the program’s growth. Working closely with the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will help build a culture of excellence, teamwork, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering high-quality training sessions to enhance athlete performance.
- Support the Head Coach in executing the program’s strategic vision and fostering a positive team culture.
- Provide individualized coaching to athletes, focusing on technique, skill development, and competitive readiness.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including meet preparation, website maintenance, recruiting, athlete progress tracking, and parent education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- ASCA Level 2 certification or equivalent
- Experience coaching competitive swimmers at the Zones, Regional or National level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for athlete development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team and support the Head Coach’s leadership.
