We are looking for a team-oriented, energetic, and motivated coach to join our staff and continue fostering excellence and fun in a positive environment.

Position Summary

The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach, Head Age Group Coach, and Lead Group Coaches during practices and swim meets while helping promote a safe, positive, and competitive environment for all athletes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all levels of the program during practices and competitions
• Provide technical feedback and motivation to swimmers
• Promote and model proper sportsmanship, teamwork, and club values
• Support meet operations and perform related administrative tasks as needed
• Maintain compliance with all USA Swimming rules and Safe Sport standards
• Arrive promptly and prepared for all assigned practices and meets

Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience preferred
• Strong background in competitive swimming
• USA Swimming Coach certifications (or ability to obtain within 2 months)
• Current CPR/AED, Safety Training for Swim Coaches, APT, and USA Swimming background check (or willingness to obtain within 2 months)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor

Preferred:

• ASCA Level 2 certification
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with TeamUnify, OnDeck, Meet Manager, and MS Office

Physical Demands

• Standing/walking for prolonged periods during workouts
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing (pool deck/ladders)
• Exposure to humid environments and pool chemicals
