Assistant Coach β€” Florida Atlantic Aquatics

Job Description

πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ Assistant Coach β€” Florida Atlantic Aquatics

Boca Raton, FL | Where Ambition Meets Opportunity

Every great team has a Pied Piper.
Someone whose energy is contagious.
Someone who makes swimmers look forward to practice, pushes them with positivity, and builds a culture that kids, parents, and staff want to follow.

If that sounds like you β€” Florida Atlantic Aquatics (FAA) wants you on deck.

🌟 The Opportunity

We’re searching for a motivating, high-energy, growth-minded coach to join our staff as an Assistant Coach.

This is a part-time role to start, with real potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate. You’ll work directly alongside Coach Rich Rogers, a nationally recognized coach who has guided swimmers to National Age Group #1s, Junior National titles, and Top-20 national team rankings β€” all while building a team culture that thrives on science, passion, and purpose.

You’ll primarily work with:

  • Age Group swimmers (10–14) β€” building rock-solid fundamentals at a high technical standard

  • Older, newer/less experienced swimmers (HS level) β€” helping them bridge the gap to competitive excellence

This is a hands-on, high-impact coaching role β€” not a clipboard job. You’ll help shape practices, connect with athletes, and bring your voice and presence to the team every day.

🧠 What Makes This Special

This isn’t just a job β€” it’s a chance to be mentored inside a nationally ranked program that blends elite methodology with a culture kids love to be part of.

You’ll be immersed in:

  • πŸ§ͺ Cutting-edge training methods rooted in Dr. Sergei Beliaev’s Super Sport Systems (3S) methodology

  • 🧠 Progressive team culture building β€” learning how to inspire groups, not just run sets

  • πŸ§β€β™‚οΈ Parent education systems that strengthen the swimmer-coach-family triangle

  • πŸ“ˆ Professional mentoring β€” designed to groom you for a long-term coaching career

Think of it like a paid high-performance coaching internship, but with real deck responsibility and a pathway forward.

πŸ› οΈ Where You Can Grow

As we build together, opportunities will open in:

  • πŸŒ… Morning training groups

  • πŸ‹οΈ Dryland leadership

  • πŸ—‚οΈ Team management & logistics

  • πŸŽ₯ Video analysis and race breakdowns

  • πŸ“² Social media and program storytelling

  • πŸ“ Administrative projects and seasonal planning exposure

Initiative and vision are rewarded here. If you bring ideas and energy, we’ll give you the runway to run with them.

πŸ“ Location

Boca Raton, FL, training at Florida Atlantic University. Year-round outdoor pool, great weather, and a thriving swim community.

πŸ“ What We’re Looking For

  • Positive, energetic, and genuinely motivated to help young swimmers grow

  • Strong communication skills with athletes, parents, and peers

  • Competitive swimming and/or coaching experience (any level β€” passion & teachability matter most)

  • Coachable, reliable, and committed to team vision

  • Current or ability to obtain USA Swimming Coaching Certification

  • Must successfully pass FAU background check, USA Swimming background check, and SafeSport certification

Bonus points for:

  • Age group coaching experience

  • Dryland or strength training knowledge

  • Administrative / leadership skills

πŸ’‘ Why FAA?

Florida Atlantic Aquatics is one of the fastest-rising teams in the country. We combine elite methodology with authentic culture, and we’re building a staff that wants to grow together β€” not just punch the clock.
