We are seeking an organized, motivated, and supportive coach who can bring structure, expertise, and enthusiasm to our practices. The ideal candidate balances discipline and encouragement—someone who can push our swimmers to improve while maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities
Coach at all practices, 9 PM to 10:20 PM Monday through Thursday.
Develop and lead engaging swim workouts that challenge and motivate swimmers of varying skill levels.
Collaborate with the club president and faculty advisor to coordinate schedules, budgets, and team logistics.
Create structured training plans focused on improving endurance, technique, and racing performance.
Attend and coach at select weekend meets throughout both the fall and spring semesters.
Foster a team culture centered on respect, accountability, and growth.

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of coaching experience, preferably with high school or collegiate-level teams.
Previous competitive swimming experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Flexible and understanding, yet able to hold swimmers accountable to team goals.
Willingness to travel to a few weekend meets per semester.

The Stony Brook Club Swim Team is a competitive, student-run organization dedicated to helping swimmers of all levels improve their skills and stay active in the sport they love. We compete in collegiate club swim meets throughout the academic year and are looking for a coach to help guide our team to the next level.
