Tidal Wave is looking for 2 part time coaches (approx. 10-15 hrs per week). We also need one or more lifeguards (approx. 20 hrs per week) 

acac is seeking a lead competitive coach to work primarily with our senior swimmers in our competitive team. acac also offers USMS Masters Swimming, a non competitive swim program and a summer recreational swim team.  The Assistant Coach conducts practices for acac swim team members following the head coach’s guidelines. The Assistant Coach works with children of different ages and ability levels so that they progress effectively to higher levels of swimming. Essential Functions and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): On deck coaching primarily weekday mornings 5:00 -8:00am (Tuesday - Friday, some Saturdays). Other shifts may become available. Responsible for daily, weekly and season planning for the Senior group with the Head Coach and may attend 1 - 2 meets a month. Plans and conducts effective and progressive practices (in water and dryland) on a solo platform, with assistance from Head Coach. Maintains vigilance while conducting practice in order to maintain constant control of the group and emphasize safety at all times. Safety is our number one concern, thus acac swim team keeps Safe Sport at the forefront of our program. Successful completion of all certifications required by USA swimming, The ability to address swimmers of various skill levels as well as coordinate effective practices for all parties in attendance. Promote the sport of swimming in a positive and enthusiastic manner to swimmers, their families and our club members. Understand and address that swimming is a lifelong sport and thus educate participants the healthy benefits of technically proficient strokes. RESPONSIBILITIES Performs the Essential Functions and Responsibilities as described (other duties may be assigned) If unable to work, proactively seeks substitutes for shifts and immediately informs supervisor of the substitution Wears proper uniform at all times while at work and always presents the acac brand and standard anytime and anywhere the acac uniform is worn Exhibits a positive attitude at all times and upholds acac’s values of teamwork, customer service, and engagement Attend Staff meetings and other professional trainings as required. Work well in a dynamic team environment: Swimmers, parents and other coaches to help promote the sport of swimming. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED preferred Safety Training for Swim Coaches (STSC) required Current USA Swimming Certifications including USA Swimming background check, Athlete Protection Training, and Level 1 Certification: Foundations of Coaching Prior USA Swimming or YMCA Swimming coaching experience preferred Current or expired Red Cross WSI certification preferred Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus Superior customer service skills Must enjoy and be able to work with children of all ages and skill levels Able to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. Must enjoy working in a team environment Excellent communication skills Compensation Compensation for this position is based on qualifications. Reimbursement for certifications required by USA swimming, travel and other team related expenses will be covered. 

Sarasota Shark Inc.   Job Description     Title: Age G roup Assistant Coach   Effective Date: 9 /18/1 9   Supervisor: Lead Group Coach     General Purpose:   An Age Group Assistant Coach will assist a Lead Age Group Coach in all aspects of the group as needed .     Duties and Responsibilities:   Assist in designing and execut ing the training plan for the group.   Attend swim meets as assigned .   Execute strong communication skills with all athletes, parents, and staff .   Assist in a dminister ing daily workouts and maintain ing group attendance reports.   Able to communicate and engage elementary and middle school age athletes in practice and keep them excited about learning and acquiring new skills.   May be required to complete other duties as assigned by the CEO .     Job Expectations:   Ability to become USA Swimming certified.   Enthusiasm for long term development of athletes.     Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:   Work in a team environment.   Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.   Social Media experience .   Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.   Microsoft Office   Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.     Working Conditions and Physical Effort   Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.   Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.   Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, sun exposure, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
